Technology – explained briefly

Lipolysis splits fats (triglycerides) into biologically usable intermediates. This can reduce deposits and odor, protect materials and stabilize processes.

Energy autonomy: fat as a resource

We think systemically: if organic material is recovered sensibly, benefits arise for operations, environment and energy balance.

Why it matters

The updated EU Urban Wastewater Treatment framework (Regulation/Directive package, incl. (EU) 2024/3019) introduces a pathway for larger municipal plants to become energy-neutral (target year 2045). Energy recovery from organics (incl. fats) is an important part of that direction.
